Meet Richard Collins

Richard is a Director in Australia and New Zealand and leads the global Procurement and Supply Chain Practice. He brings over 20 years of consulting experience to the role, having worked across every area of metals and mining, energy, IT, banking, telecommunications, aviation and more to both drive business improvements and solve sourcing and procurement challenges.

He specialises in strategic sourcing, financial analysis, strategic planning, acquisitions, performance improvement and cost reduction. He is an expert at improving performance for large corporations around the world, having worked on numerous cross‑border projects across Asia, Australia and America.

Prior to joining Partners in Performance, Richard spent several years consulting at Deloitte as part of their cost reduction team for the turnaround for an Asian national airline. Subsequently he moved to the US to join a private equity focused strategic sourcing firm. He returned to Australia with Bain & Company where he led strategy development for clients in banking and telecommunications.

Richard is known for delivering results and developing capability in client teams. A calm presence on‑site, he has a record of identifying underlying supply chain and procurement problems and always provides solutions to help clients overcome their challenges while ensuring their teams are building the right behaviours to solve future problems on their own.
