Summary Bio

With over three decades of experience enabling strategic direction, operational transformation and leadership capability‑building across multiple sectors of the energy value chain, Julian is uniquely placed to guide organisations as they navigate the challenging journey towards sustainable energy use.

Following completion of undergraduate and postgraduate engineering degrees, Julian led multiple projects to enhance energy utilisation efficiency for a private industrial furnace manufacturer, and undertook alternative energy research initiatives at BHP Melbourne Research Laboratories. Julian then entered consulting, spending the next several decades helping organisations unlock their full potential in pursuit of performance, strategic advantage, and an economic pathway to a low‑carbon future.

As a dual citizen of Australia and the US, Julian has worked extensively in both countries for world‑leading organisations on projects impacting both global and local operations, and has also led major projects in Europe and Asia. These efforts included redirecting corporate strategy for a global producer of power generation capital equipment anticipating accelerating demand for energy utilisation technologies, transforming corporate strategy including production technologies and emissions for a major metals manufacturer, and advising a global wind‑turbine manufacturer on transforming operations and growth in Southeast Asia.
